Data Specialties Inc. (DSI) partners with AFCOM and 24/7 Exchange at a Kansas City Sustainable Data Center Golf Event
Always eager to get involved, Data Specialties Inc.’s St. Louis office participated in AFCOM/24X7 Exchange’s “Green Grid” 4th quarter meeting October 12, 2012 on the Sprint Campus in Kansas City, MO. Launched in 2011, The Green Grid model integrates every aspect of the data center from power and cooling to more efficient computers, storage and networks. Over 120 industry professionals met up to network, golf, and update their knowledge in the Green Grid methodology, which was developed to serve as a comprehensive model, providing clear goals and direction that map out what can and should be done over time to improve overall efficiency and sustainability throughout the data center industry. In addition to fun and friendly networking, rounds of golf, food and drinks, attendees were exposed to subject matter that focused on strategies, models and best practices for building and managing sustainable data centers for economic, social, and environmental benefits.
The DSI St. Louis team made great headway as a corporate “Hole Sponsor” and look forward to participating in more industry networking events that foster both networking and having a good time!
