MISSION CRITICAL MAGAZINE COVERS DSI’S WORK UPGRADING DATA CENTER FOR NORTHERN CA POLICE DEPARTMENT DURING COVID-19

Last week, DSI formally announced the completion of a Data Center upgrade for a large Northern California Police Department. Mission Critical Magazine recently wrote a piece about this project that not only involved public safety, but was done during COVID-19.

To ensure that the project was completed on time and adhered to all COVID-19 protocol, DSI worked directly with the department’s IT staff to ensure they had redundant uninterruptible power supplies (UPS’s), to make room for four additional server cabinets for future growth, and to create space to house non-IT related functions.

Prior to the project’s start, DSI oversaw a comprehensive Site Assessment to understand the current state of the Data Center—current electrical load, existing cabling and ductwork, and future load requirements.  DSI was able to deliver on all the Police Department’s objectives, following all safety guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic.
