Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Data Specialties Inc. ("DSI," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at webuilddatacenters.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have.

DSI designs and builds mission-critical data centers for businesses, healthcare systems, schools and government agencies. Our site exists to tell prospective clients about that work and to let them reach our team. We do not sell products online, and we do not run user accounts. That keeps the amount of personal information we handle fairly small.

By using this website, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you fill out our contact form, request a quote, call our offices, or email a member of our team, you may share details such as:

  • Your name and job title
  • Company or organization name
  • Business email address and phone number
  • The service you are interested in, such as modular data centers, UPS replacement, communications cabling or preventative maintenance
  • Any project details or questions you choose to include in your message

Please avoid sending sensitive personal information through the contact form. We do not need it to respond to a project inquiry.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, ours records some technical data each time a page loads. This can include your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring website, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. If you arrive by clicking an ad or a tracked link, we may also see the campaign or keyword that sent you.

We use this data in aggregate to understand how the site performs. It is not used to identify you personally unless you have also contacted us.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. We use them, along with pixels and tags, for a few practical reasons.

Essential cookies keep the site working properly. Our WordPress platform and its plugins set some of these automatically.

Analytics cookies help us see which pages people visit and how they find us. We use Google Analytics for this. You can learn how Google handles that data at policies.google.com/privacy, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Advertising cookies and tags let us measure whether our ads on platforms like Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising lead to inquiries. They may also be used to show our ads to people who have visited the site before. You can adjust ad personalization through Google Ad Settings and the Microsoft privacy dashboard.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking them will not stop you from reading our content, though some features such as the contact form could behave differently.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. Because no common standard exists for how sites should respond to it, our site does not currently change its behavior when it receives one. Where state law requires it, we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of targeted advertising.

How We Use Your Information

We use what we collect to run our business and serve the people who reach out to us. Specifically, we use it to:

  • Respond to inquiries and quote requests
  • Schedule site assessments and follow-up calls
  • Deliver, manage and support projects we are contracted to perform
  • Send occasional updates about DSI services, which you can opt out of at any time
  • Improve how the website loads and reads
  • Measure how well our marketing and advertising perform
  • Keep spam and abuse off the site
  • Comply with the law and our contracts

We will not use your information for a purpose that is unrelated to these without telling you first.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We also do not share it with outside companies so they can market their own products to you.

We share information only when it is needed to do the work, such as with:

  • Service providers who host and maintain our website, provide analytics, run our email, or support our advertising. They may use the data only to perform services for DSI.
  • Manufacturing and installation partners, such as equipment vendors we work with on a project, when sharing your contact or project details is necessary to quote or complete that project. We do this only after you have engaged us about the work.
  • Legal and safety recipients, when we believe disclosure is required by law or court order, or is needed to protect the safety of DSI and the people we work with.
  • A successor business, if DSI is acquired or merges with another company. Your information would remain covered by a policy at least as protective as this one.

We may also share aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be linked back to you.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep contact and inquiry information for as long as we have an active or potential business relationship with you. Project records may be held longer because warranty and contract obligations often require it. Website analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of our analytics provider. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How We Protect Information

Our site uses SSL encryption, and access to the information you send us is limited to DSI staff and providers who need it. We take reasonable administrative and technical steps to guard against loss or unauthorized access. Still, no website or email system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Links to Other Websites

Our pages link to equipment partners and to video hosted on YouTube. Those sites have their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for how they collect or use your information, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Children's Privacy

This website is intended for business professionals. It is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in some states), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your Privacy Choices and Rights

Anyone can unsubscribe from our marketing emails by using the link in the message or by contacting us. You can also ask us to update or delete the contact information you have shared.

Depending on where you live, state law may give you additional rights. Residents of California, Colorado, Virginia, Texas and several other states may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you and how it is used
  • Get a copy of that information
  • Correct information that is inaccurate
  • Have your information deleted, subject to legal exceptions
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, sometimes called "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising
  • Avoid discrimination for exercising any of these rights

Additional information for California residents

In the past 12 months, we have collected identifiers like your name, email address or IP address. We have also collected professional details like your company and job title, plus records of activity on our site. These come from you directly and from the technologies described above. We use and disclose them only for the business purposes listed in this policy. We have not sold personal information. Some advertising cookies may count as "sharing" under California law, and you can opt out by turning on Global Privacy Control in your browser. Contacting us works too.

How to make a request

Send your request using the contact details below. We will need to confirm your identity before acting on it, usually by matching information you give us against what we already hold. An authorized agent may submit a request for you with written permission. We aim to respond within 45 days. If we deny a request and your state provides an appeal process, you may appeal by replying to our decision.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our website or the law changes. The effective date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised. If we make a significant change, we will post a notice on the site.
